CREAMY CHICKEN

Very creamy, absolutely delicious and easy to make this creamy chicken is perfect for a week day dinner.
To prepare creamy chicken you can use milk or cream. I prefer to use sour cream.
As regarding the meat, you can use boneless chicken legs or breast. You can also use chicken with bones, the food will have more flavor but you will have to cook the meat a little longer.
You can serve this creamy chicken with polenta or with table bread.

Ingredients for creamy chicken:


- 700gr boneless chicken legs
- 200gr sour cream
- 1-2 onions
- 1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 50gr flour
- 500-600ml water (or chicken stock)
- salt and pepper to taste


How to make creamy chicken


Cut the chicken into large pieces. Set aside.
Peel, wash and finely chop the onions. Place the chopped onions and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil into a large skillet. Place the skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring often, until the onions turns glossy.
Add the chicken. Cook on both sides until golden brown.
Pour the water (chicken stock), season with salt and pepper and cook for 10-15 minutes (or until the chicken is cooked through)
Meanwhile use a bowl to mix together flour and 3 tablespoons cold water. Add the sour cream and whisk. Add 3-4 tablespoons of hot soup (from the skillet), whisk. Pour this mixture into the skillet, over the chicken.
Continue to cook at medium heat, stirring often, until thickens.
Serve warm, with fresh parsley and polenta or table bread.
