YOGURT PUDDING

Easy to make with only a handful of ingredients, this delicious pudding is perfect for a weekend dessert. It’s light, airy, fluffy and soooo good :) Everybody loves it.
To obtain this airy and fluffy texture, you must bake yogurt pudding using bain-marie method.
You can top this yogurt pudding with fresh fruits, chocolate or caramel sauce or with jam.
For the topping I chose a syrup made of sugar and orange juice



Ingredients for yogurt pudding (19cm):


- 500gr yogurt
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 3 tablespoon semolina
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- a pinch of salt
- vanilla flavor
For the syrup:
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 orange, juiced


How to make yogurt pudding:


Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Lightly butter a 19cm baking tray.
Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks, 1 teaspoon butter and sugar until light and creamy.
Pour the yogurt and mix until combined.
Add semolina and vanilla flavor and mix until incorporated.
Fold in the egg whites a little at a time.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Place the pan into another pan, a little larger, with hot water (bain marie method) and bake for 1 hour.


Let the yogurt pudding cool and meanwhile prepare the syrup.
How to make the sugar and orange juice syrup:
Use a pan to heat the sugar over medium heat. Stir constantly. Cook until sugar melts into a thick brown, amber-colored liquid.
Remove from heat and pour the orange juice (at room temperature), carefully, because it makes bubbles.
Bring back to a boil and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Serve yogurt pudding with sugar and orange juice syrup. Absolutely delicious!
